Clydesdale Beer Sled

I had a lot of fun at the #NCNP Sleigh Race at Nipclub Monthly. I was on the Team 3 Clydesdale Beer Sled with my cats - Team Captain @kittehboi Mr. Breeze and @sisfurcats Bugs and Chilipepper.

Our sleigh featured the delightful @hookalopes, Goddesses of the night. Also along for the ride were my baboon pal @Kolo Martin, @George the Duck and #MiniBreeze - who lives here but is traveling so I haven't met him yet.

Breeze's twitter pals @Winston Tabby and @Barnabas Kitten rounded off the crew.

I have no idea who won the race but we all had a blast!

We hiked at the War Memorial park again. I like it because commuter trains drive by all the time.

@Kolo_Martin of Baboon HQ

Kolo Martin

The handsome baboon wearing the Arsenal shirt in the photo above is the famous Kolo Martin. Kolo lives at Baboon HQ in the UK along with many of his baboon friends. In fact, Kolo has so many baboon friends that he's started a worldwide baboon rehoming project. I was the 81st rehoming and you can read about me on Kolo's world - Update from Baboon HQ.

My First Snow!

My First Snow!

It got very cold out and then white stuff fell out of the sky. The cats tell me it's called "snow." It's very pretty.

Inconvenient Convenience Store

Giant LEGO blocks
at what will soon be an
Inconvenient Convenience Store

We took the walk at the grocery store in reverse this time to see how the dreaded convenience store construction was going. They are building a new super convenience store with gas pumps in the center of town by the war memorial park. I would like to point out that the center of town contains a fast food drive-through and the back entrances of stores in a strip mall the next block over. It's hideous, actually. The center of town should be a few blocks over where there used to be an amusement park. There's a shopping mall there now that is the de facto town center.

The traffic where they're building the convenience store is already a mess because there is a confluence and then a split of two major roads. To complicate matters, the commuter trains run through it. In theory it should be a great location, but in reality traffic patterns will make using it not just an inconvenience, but dangerous.

I think I'll call it the Inconvenient Convenience Store. They are using giant LEGO blocks to terraform it. BorisKitty would like them.

We walked up a very steep hill off the road we usually take. I wasn't sure the humans would make it but they did ok. The hill is a (if not THE) high point in town. For that reason there is an RF tower and a water tower there. I tried to climb the RF tower but the humans wouldn't let me climb over the fence.

Grocery Store Hike

We like to take a 4500-step walk before grocery shopping. We pass the high school sports fields, cross train tracks twice, pass a dreadful stalled Wawa construction, and hang out in the Veterans Memorial Park.

Hobo's Lullaby

Toby Guthrie
...with a tip of the hat to Woody Guthrie, American singer-songwriter and folk musician. Woody wrote a lot of great songs about riding trains.

If you don't know Woody Guthrie as the author of the iconic "This Land is Your Land," consider yourself introduced!

Woody's son Arlo Guthrie (Alice's Restaurant) and grandaughter Sarah Lee Guthrie are also musicians.

A Walk In the Park

We walked at Warminster Community Park in Bucks County, PA.

Warminster Park is built on the grounds of an old Naval test facility, NADC. My new humans really love airplanes and jets and astronauts and 30mm gatling guns. They are sad that the airbase and the test facility are no longer in operation. They feel the government abandoned them by shutting area naval bases down - just as they were starting a war on terror!!

Climbing In My New House

I have been climbing all over my new home. There are cat trees and dressers and LOTS of bookshelves! Maybe I will learn to read.
